The 46th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, presented by the Jewish Film Institute, returns to the Bay Area July 16 – August 2, 2026 with its signature showcase of bold films and filmmakers that expand and evolve the Jewish story. Founded in 1980, SFJFF is the first and foremost film festival devoted to independent, Jewish-contnet cinema. The Festival presents dramatic, documentary, television, experimental, and animated features and shorts that explore fresh, nuanced perspectives around topics of Jewish history, culture, identity, and more.

Key Festival Dates

May 14: Discounted early bird pricing on Festival packages begins. Festival venues are announced.

June 16: The full SFJFF46 lineup is revealed and goes on sale to JFI members. 

June 18: JFI Member pre-sale ends and general public sales begin.

July 16: Opening Night of San Francisco Jewish Film Festival 46.
