In THE SANDGLASS, a young man named Joseph visits his ailing father, Jacob in a remote sanitarium. In a kaleidoscopic "hero's journey," Joseph tumbles backward in time through a series of dreams which condense biblical parables, childhood fantasy, sexual desire and mystical revelation.
