Full Description
Based on a story by Bernard Malamud, THE SILVER CROWN pits father and son in a battle between faith and fact which along the way reveals much about the son's guilt and resentment toward his father. Albert Gans searches to find a cure for an undetermined illness afflicting his father. He provides him with the best medical attention available - but his father draws nearer to death. All seems hopeless until a strange girl lures him to Rabbi Lifshitz. Desperate, Albert considers a proposition. When he discovers that this solution requires more of him than money can buy, he finds himself put to a test for which he had not bargained.
