Filmmaker Bio(s)
Alex Silberberg is a filmmaker whose work spans music videos, documentaries, and narrative storytelling. A graduate of NYU, he began directing music videos for artists on labels such as Concord Records, Photo Finish, and Fader Label. He later worked on HBO’s Albert Brooks: Defending My Life and directed the culinary docuseries Water & Flour. His time at Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures and FilmNation Entertainment deepened his focus on emotionally grounded, character-driven narratives. His recent short, The Auschwitz Bagel—based on a personal true story—serves as a proof of concept for a forthcoming feature. Silberberg’s work explores identity, family, and belonging with dark humor and personal resonance.
