Full Description
In 1966, Israeli-born filmmaker Amit Goren, then a nine-year-old, emigrated with his family to the United States from Israel so his Egyptian-born father could advance his career in the travel business. Goren turns the lens on his arrestingly photogenic, articulate and cooperative family and on himself to probe the meaning of "belonging" and "home." While the other members of his family remain in America, Goren's search for home ends in Israel. This film examines the experience of uprootedness among Israelis who leave their culture to seek a better life elsewhere.
