Full Description
An artist dies in Tel Aviv. One by one, the women in his life reveal themselves. Alma, his daughter, discovers his secret mistress. Rutha, his wife, is tormented by jealousy. An Oedipal mystery ensues as Alma is irresistibly drawn into an affair with the mistress' son, a Mick Jagger look-alike who may be her brother. This is a beautifully filmed, highly symbolic story about family, emotional blackmail, and growing up. A courageous and lucid first feature by the Russian-born Israeli filmmaker Mira Recanati. Un Certain Regard, 1981 Cannes Film Festival.
