HIGH STREET is an unusual drama focusing on a woman driven mad by events during World War II. An American expatriate artist living in Brussels becomes obsessed with the woman's imaginary battles, and attempts to discover their root. He discovers she has been "fighting" since the Nazis killed her Jewish husband and young son in 1943, and his life is transformed. 1976 Best French Film of the Year.
