I Miss the Sun

An intimate look at the life of Rosette Hakim, the Egyptian-born grandmother of filmmaker Mary Halawani, and how she uses an Egyptian-Jewish Passover seder ritual to symbolize her modern day exodus. Hakim now lives in Brooklyn, one of the thousands of Jews who fled their homes, taking only their culture with them.
