Full Description
Beautiful cinematography and a score of original Jewish folk songs illuminate this film about the remnants of Jewish peasant culture in northeast Hungary. Only twenty families returned to this once-thriving area of Jewish villages; before World War II, 425,000 Jews lived there. In LET YE INHERIT, the remaining elderly Jews recall the precious world of Jewish shepherds, rabbis and merchants, as well as the cruel history of deportation and abandoned cemeteries. Made by the directors of Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Film, THE REVOLT OF JOB.
