Full Description
This moving documentary begins with a quest for family reunification. Rachel, a charismatic 20-year-old, and Paulus, her 19-year-old boyfriend return to Ethiopia from Israel to visit their mothers, who were left behind during Operation Solomon, the 1991 Israeli airlift of 14,000 Ethiopians. The emotional journey to the land of their birth soon reveals the racism of Israeli officials who continue to dispute the authenticity of Ethiopian Judaism. Here is a powerful film about the unshakable tenacity of family ties and the strength and spirit of Ethiopian Jews.
