Photographs for Our Children

A portrait of Hungarian Jews that is an intimate glimpse of Jewish life in Budapest before and during World War II. A collection of photographs, diaries, personal testimonials, newsreel footage and artifacts are artfully woven together, resulting in a collective memory that is at once personal and anonymous, private and universal. Complementing each other, continuing each others' sentences - the images speak simply and eloquently for those who cannot speak for themselves.
