The Last Seven Months of Anne Frank

A sensitive documentary that brings before the camera eight women who were with the Frank family after their arrest by the Nazis in Amsterdam. The women, including Anne's closest friend, share moving stories that take up where Anne's diary leaves off. The film is unusual and important: unusual because it records and preserves the ordeals of women in concentration camps, and extremely important because it transforms Anne Frank, the symbol, into a human being. Anne, age fifteen, died in Bergen Belsen, just two months before the Allied liberation of Holland. Best International Documentary, 1988 Emmy Awards.
