Zebrahead

Zack and Dee are teenagers and best friends growing up amidst the decay of urban Detroit. Zack is Jewish, Dee is black, and together they listen to hip-hop music as they navigate the troubled waters of a racist, violent culture. When Dee's attractive cousin Nikki moves into the neighborhood, Zack is smitten, and so begins this complex, moving love story. Parents, friends, and schoolmates all react to this taboo romance, with consequences that will change everyone's lives forever. This smart, hip, dramatic film offers a compelling perspective on cultural boundaries and the need for respect. With outstanding performances and a great soundtrack by Taj Mahal. Executive Produced by Oliver Stone.
