For Filmmakers (legacy)

The Jewish Film Institute provides significant creative support to both established and emerging filmmakers through its year-round exhibition calendar, competitive filmmaker residencies, artist consultations, awards recognition and education initiatives. JFI champions filmmakers and projects whose stories promote the exploration and understanding of modern Jewish identity and embrace the full spectrum of media platforms. Since its inception, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival has been a platform for international filmmakers to introduce their work to American audiences, many of whom return to screen new films throughout their careers.
