Dempsey Rice - Director / Producer: Dempsey is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY.  Her work focuses on pivotal moments in individual lives that speak of universal human experiences.  Connection, personal story, relationship and identity all emerge in her filmmaking. Her feature length documentary film Daughter of Suicide played at film festivals around the world and premiered on HBO in 2000.  It went on to win multiple awards for mental health programming.  She is the recipient of a NY Emmy as the Series Producer of IMNY (I Am New York). Her hyper-local project The Listening Project: Brooklyn (133 short films) aired on Brooklyn Independent Television. Other projects include Forget Me Nots (2010) and Body Job (2008).

Lori Cheatle - Producer: Lori is the founder of Hard Working Movies and Producer or Executive Producer of over 25 award-winning feature documentaries. Credits include the 2024 Peabody winner NIGHT IS NOT ETERNAL (HBO); MATANGI/MAYA/M.I.A. (Sundance Special Jury Award, BBC2/Netflix); DREAMING WALLS: Inside the Chelsea Hotel, Executive Produced by Martin Scorsese (Berlinale, Magnolia/Hulu); and 51 BIRCH STREET (HBO), named one of the 10 Best Films of the Year by The New York Times. She is a member of AMPAS, BAFTA, and the PGA.
