As the Intifada moves into its third year, ordinary Israelis and Palestinians discuss their views of the situation created by 23 years of Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. This important documentary focuses on two young men, an Israeli and a Palestinian, whose paths have crossed. Tal, an 18-year-old Israeli, is about to begin his military service. He is troubled by his government's policies, yet he is a loyal Israeli. His dilemma is amplified by encounters with Mohammed, a young Palestinian cook in a cafe frequented by Tal. Mohammed's life is shaped not only by the demands of patriotism and conscience, but by the insistent needs of survival.
