The Mourning Suit

Hershl is a fatherless, thirtyish musician in Winnipeg who is disappointed with his mother, torn between relationships with two women, and deeply ambivalent about his Jewish identity. Fate brings him together with Kramer, an elderly tailor whose traditions and prejudices have forced him to deny the existence of his son who married a Gentile. Herschl and Kramer act out contrasting yet symbiotic roles with generous measures of guilt and love in this honest psychological exploration.
