JFI Social Change Film Fellowship

JFI presents films that reflect the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world with our actions) in our Take Action program. Many of these films focus on social justice, immigration, civil rights, racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality, women’s rights and environmental issues. JFI is looking for teens from all ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds to join our JFI Social Change Film Fellowship, a paid fellowship open to a cohort of twelve film fellows, between the ages of 15 and 18. The fellows will work as a team alongside our Programmers, Marketing team and our Filmmakers in Residence to craft and promote a series of screenings and conversations around JFI’s social justice films-documentary and narrative- for diverse audiences in the Bay Area and beyond.

Film Fellow Requirements:

  • Fellows must be ages 15-18.
  • Fellows must be able to attend monthly virtual meetings (via Zoom) between April 2021-June 2022 (15 months).
  • Fellows must be able to attend JFI fellow events including our Year Round Next Wave and Take Action Day Events.
  • All meetings will be held on Zoom until it is COVID-safe to meet in person (TBD by CDC and City Guidelines).

Film Fellow Benefits:
