Full Description
In a European village at the turn of the century, sometime before Easter, Lejba and his pregnant wife, both Jewish, have rented a tavern. Although they are far from the pogroms of Russia, Lejba is afraid. When Lebja's former hired man threatens him with murder, Lejba's rage begins to surface. Lejba waits for his murderer to arrive. When he comes, the unbelievable happens.
