Salomea remembers the day her beloved brothers, Max and Karl, disfigured her and themselves for life. The Day of Tragedy, is what their mother called it, and blamed it on the fate of her children. Though fate and tragedy have a different meaning by the end of her tale. A tragicomedy about sibling rivalry, disfigurement and the pain that binds us. With Barbara Sukowa as the voice of Salomea.

"One of Us," (1999) a 48 minute documentary in which Korda explores
questions of pain, family ties and the true nature of deformity by
comparing her family's Holocaust history with that of the Germans.
Screened in 1999 at the Berlin Film Festival and The International
Hamptons Film Festival. Received a Merit Award at the 1999 San
Francisco International Film Festival and was shown in 2000 at the
Double Take Film Festival and in a special SFJFF screening.
"Vienna Is Different: 50 Years After the Anschluss," (1989) is a
slice of life in the year 1988 as the Austrians set out to
commemorate Hitler's Annexation of Austria 50 years prior. The
feature length documentary uncovers little changed attitudes from
priest to socialist. Directed & Produced with David Leitner. Screened
at festivals in Berlin, Sundance, Leipzig & San Francisco. Received a
Silver Plaque in Chicago.
