There are over 20,000 African refugees in Israel. Transparent in Black provides us with a glimpse into their struggle to find work in Israel and to feel at home in a country that needs their labor but where some resent their presence. It also asks what obligation, if any, has Israel—with a population largely composed of the descendants of refugees—to integrate these refugees into its society?
