Bad Jews in My Kitchen

BAD JEWS IN MY KITCHEN is a series of intimate video vignettes of Jewish dykes who share the contradictions inherent in their identities. Kitchen table interviews capture a unique vitality and intelligence that results in a fresh contribution to Jewish lesbian representation.
"BAD JEWS IN MY KITCHEN" takes a provocative look at young Jew Dykes in the San Francisco Bay area. Through intimate kitchen table interviews and timeless super 8 imagery "BAD JEWS" discusses the dualities and contradictions inherent in our identities. "BAD JEWS" is the first video by Tai Uhlmann and Alessandra Ogren. Feeling the lack of representation in both queer and Jewish media Tai and Alessandra took it upon themselves to create work that represented themselves and their community. They are continuing to create video and film work on topics of identity and representation. Directors Tai Uhlmann and Alessandra Ogren both live in San Francisco and are interested in showing "BAD JEWS" in other festivals. It has already been accepted by festivals in New York, and Berlin.
