A probing documentary of Avital Scharansky's unrelenting determination to free her husband - Jewish dissident Anatoly Scharansky - from Soviet prison. (He has since been released and is now living in Israel.) The film looks at Avital's experience with United States government leaders, her hopes for her husband's future, and the frustrations of trying to build political pressure from outside the USSR.
