The Collector of Bedford Street

Larry Selman, the filmmaker's 59-year-old developmentally disabled neighbor, is an activist and fundraiser. Despite living in poverty, the charming and tenacious Larry collects thousands of dollars for charity every year. Larry's neighbors are moved to create a trust fund for him with the help of the United Jewish Appeal. -Oscar nominee for Best Short Film in 2002
